Bob and Mort, thanks for your comments. I am a psychologist and am a bit
familiar with the subject matter. Met Bandler and Grinder, read Simonton
etc. As you know there are some outstanding clinicians. Their skills
are not ususally transferable to their disciples. B & G, as systems
engineers did a reasonable job in trying to extract what these
"MAGICIANS" were doing. Even the "MAGICIANS" were not aware of how they
accomplished what they did.
Can others do what Erickson, Satir and Simonton can do? I'm skeptical.
My wife is quite conventional and is hard to convince that anything
outside of conventional medicine can help her. She will have to have a
great deal of faith in any practitioners who clain they can help her.
The medical profession has let her down. She complained about chest
pains in March of this year. Her G.P. did not order a chest Xray. Only
after six months delay did a specialist recommend a chest Xray. All that
time was lost.
Bob, I will call you. I'm not clear if your number is 714-952-2110. I'm
new to this computer game and I do not know the jargon. Is this a bbs
number? Well I'll soon find out.
Burke
