Are TDD's cheaper or more expensive that a modem?  With all the 
bulletin boards and such, I would think that the TDD machines would all 
be replaced by computers and modems soon.

The answer, Jim, is yes.  TDDs are cheaper or more expensive than
modems.  Or maybe modems are cheaper or more expensive than TDDs.
Actually, TDD prices fall entirely within the range of modem prices.

Someday, Jim, but not real soon.  There are a lot of TDDs out there.
And many are used by members of the Deaf Culture.  No group is more
resistant to change and progress than Deaf Culture.
