[misc.handicap] Earmuffs for lawn work

Loud noise damages hearing--normal or already damaged--in a
remarkably short time. While I was remarking on yard workers who
mow lawns and run blowers for a living, I don't see a lot of sense
in taking a chance even when doing noisy work once a week. BTW,
the damage is cumulative. Ear muffs to protect hearing cost a fair
amount, but so does losing hearing.
