Index Number: 6312 One station here in Durham, NC is captioning local news. They apparently are using the idiot boards that the newscaster is supposed to be reading from. The problem for me, which wouldn't exist if I had less hearing, is that they don't always say what is on the board. Or least, what they say and what the caption says are often quite different. In addition the caption run quite far behind the voice--or sometimes it gets ahead of it! Talk about confusion! I love the captioned programs tho. Use it whenever it's available--and not too far from the sound. I expect it to be increasingly helpful--no, necessary--as I lose more hearing.
