Since then I have been seeing a Chiropractor who has helped enormously. Last week he and I sat down after my 'adjustment' session and he explained what he hoped to accomplish overall. One thing he stated was that when the back was in good adjustment and pressure was releived from the central and peripheral nervous systems there was often overall benefits including reduction or elimination of migraine headaches. At the time this was of only incidental interest to me since I do not get migraine headaches, but upon reading your message his words popped to the surface. Has anyone else on this echo attempted pain reduction through chiropracty? I CAN vouch for that fact that it helps releive traumatized back injuries caused by careless exercising....:-) Rudy Vener uucp: att!mtqua!rudy internet: rudy@mtqua.att.com

The chiropractor I occasionally use, claims that approx. 70% of his clients have problems with migraine to some degree, often accompanied by other problems. He claims that he has had "good" success in reducing or eliminating migraine attacks. Disclaimer: I went to him for back pain (he does a good job alleviating that), but not for migraine, so I don't speak from personal experience. On the other hand, this guy is pretty honest (unlike some other DCs I've had the misfortune of using); so I'm inclined to believe that his treatment does work for at least some migraine cases. -- ---------- Ed Arnold * era@ncar.ucar.edu * era@ncario [bitnet] * ...!ncar!era [uucp]
