That was last night. Tonight the caption informed us that many of
the South Carolina victims of hurricane Hugo were unable to fill
out the forms to get assistance because of the high rate of LITERACY.
(I'm not kidding).

ps. On reflection, maybe that's not so bad. Literate people could
have problems with government forms :-)
