Index Number: 7061 Would say to you that are trying to do something about the different labels and what you can and can't do, contact some of our local Denver TV stations and see what you can do about getting some of the footage that is being shot in Winter Park at the Disabled Winter Olympics. I know that this will not help the blind on the echo, but the rest of you will be surprised at what is being done and the people doing it. I can say that I admire the guts and fortitude of all the participants of the games. And I can say that from the angle of an almost abled person. Sure they take some dangerous spills caused by some of the people that are helping in the games. One blind skier ran into his leader and took a nasty spill and broke a collar bone. But he will be in contention for the final races. But I can also feel for the leader of this person. He must feel awful about causing the accident. But putting myself in any of the peoples places that I see in the games, I can honestly say that I don't know if I could do it. Coming down the hill either strapped onto a mono-ski for those in the chairs or on a single ski for those with only one leg. And I think that this would be a great help to get the message across that if you are disabled, that doesn't mean that you are a total loss. <<Rich>> -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!104!419!Rich.Harper Internet: Rich.Harper@f419.n104.z1.fidonet.org
