Ball State University is in the process of upgrading and expanding
their computer facilities for the visually impaired student population.
At present, we have four computers with voice synethesizer and screen
enhancement, a Braille printer and a Kurzweil Personal Reader. We
also have a class specifically for the visually impaired offered
every Spring sememster.
We are requesting information from other institutions and individuals
on what types of hardware and software they are using to adapt
computer technology. We are also interested in knowing if other
universities are offering classes or where training can be obtained.
Please share your information - both likes and dislikes - so our
program can move forward in providing reasonable accommodation.
Send your responses to:

Many thanks!
