[misc.handicap] TV interview re: ADA

I have been asked to do a TV interview about ADA for a local station.
I will let everyone on the list know how it works out. There is, by the way,
a certain "resistance" on the part of several people around here to
my doing this. It seems the "Old Boys' Net" doesn't *like* civil rights
movements in general, and by the disABLED in particular.
Hang in there and keep the pressure on for ADA. I'll fill in the
details if they don't get me first.

[The following is mail that Bill sent shortly after the above mail]

     Just completed the TV interview.
Isn't it interesting that I have already started getting some
discriminatory fallout therefrom, in the form of a "ticket" for having
a "messy yard" - given at the INSTANT that the TV cameras arrived?!!

Please tell us more about the incident, and what police dept. to
send flame letters to.
