[misc.handicap] AMIGA "SAY"

hi, every one. While browsing in the Canadian Tire store to-day,
I looked at the =Amiga 500.

In the book it mentions that there is a program called "SAY" that
reads the text on the screen.

I was wondering if anyone has an Amiga and is using this program.
Is the program expensive, and it is it doing a good job?
Thanks for your help.
cheers, Red

Hi Jim,
I missed the original message of this thread, but wanted to comment
since I am very involved with the Amiga.
First, I am so involved for one reason because I produce a screen
reading package for the Amiga called Ami-Talk (free demo available upon
request) which allows a blind person to use almost any piece of
off-the-shelf software. In my opinion having the "say" command is of
little use to a blind person since one it can only read a file, not help
you interact with software at all, and two even, there is no control over
the speech, the amount of punctuation pronounced or how it is said, or
even the ability to shut it up once it has started.
If you or anyone is interested in a demo copy of Ami-Talk I can be
