[This is from the Silent Talk Conference]

WR> rely on AT&T anymore. I chose AT&T over other carriers because
WR> of their attentiveness and responsiveness to hearing-impaired
 WR> and handicapped customers.
 WR>
WR> Can any TELECOM readers comment on this? AT&T, don't consider
 WR> removing TDD discounts!!

I'd let them know it, at any rate. The dollar talks, and bullshit
walks. Nothing will gain accessibility faster than persons with
disabilities and their families and friends acting as an economic
force. Patronize accessible and accomodating businesses. Don't
patronize those who aren't. You'll see how fast things change.

(Meaningful but truly self-serving message: When buying or selling real
estate in E. Massachusetts, call RSR Real Estate (617) 489-4812 (Voice)
(617) 489-3848.

Do you think AT&T will give me a discount for my dedicated TDD line?
Do you think they will give some of my customers typing lessons?

P.S. If you find out this is true, I will be happy to write a letter to AT&T.

... Don't fight forces; use them. - Buckminster Fuller
