Index Number: 8594 GS> I'm surprised that no-one has mentioned WEIGHT CONTROL for GS> people disabled as adults. A proper diet will prevent weight gain in most individuals even those in wheelchairs. If you eat like a pig then expect to gain weight. If you eat a sensible diet then you can maintain a sensible weight. For example, a light breakfast of tea and a waffle with jelly. Lunch can be any fruits or raw vegetables with a diet soda. Dinner is whatever you want in reasonable portions and without evening snacks and deserts. Total calories for the day should be about 3000. For further information see my cookbook for the disabled coming in the Fall. -=joe=- -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!150!140!Joe.Chamberlain Internet: Joe.Chamberlain@f140.n150.z1.fidonet.org
