Dear Betty,
I have just taken on this echo on my BBS and am pleased to see it's pretty
lively. I'd better start the ball rolling this end by introducing myself.
My name's Robin. Iam 46 years old and am a self-employed legal Accountant by
profession. My handicap is FSH Muscular Dystrophy which I've had since age
18. I am married and have a daughter from my first marriage called Shuna,
who is now aged 23. My wife's name is Claire. She is also handicapped with
Cancer of the spine and hips. We live happily in a ground floor rented
one-bedroomed flat in a nice suburb near Hampstead Heath in north west
London. I was born in South Africa of British Army parents but brought up in
Edinburgh Scotland. I have been running my own BBS called Robin's Nest for
only three months now. Recently a friend and I started our own little group
called the Disabled Data Link Group. Cliff has CP and is housebound. He has
been running his own BBS Cliff's Corner in Lowestoft for some years now. We
are extending a helping hand to other disabled users in this country and
hope to link internationally with other disabled BBS.
Are you disabled? Is there a list of handicapped BBS's in the USA?
