Index Number: 8668 [This is from the Silent Talk Conference] howdy, foax... i am also a person interested in learning ASL... i am not hearing impaired in the classic sense of the word, but appear to have problems from time to time discerning what others are saying if they say it in certain ways... it's almost as if they were whispering; they weren't... am interested in finding or conversing with those who either know of excellent ASL tutors in software or creating same... i've an idea for how to write some graphic-oriented software... unfortunately, i run into the problem of "the marketplace"... the kind of software i'd like to write will almost certainly require an ega or vga as a minimum system, and saving graphics as pictures will eat lots of disk space... anyone have any ideas on this puppy? i'd also like to know if anyone knows of foax who would be interested in practicing ASL in the seattle area with someone who is just above neophyte... my HI friends aren't always around, and if i don't sign for weeks at a time, i regress quickly... sigh... -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!343!15.0!Caren.Park Internet: Caren.Park@p0.f15.n343.z1.fidonet.org
