Index Number: 8700 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] Debee, Wow, your story about grassroots really made me stop and think. I hope that everyone who reads your message will understand why these adaptive products for the blind cost as much as they do. The reason is simple SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!! A product is only as good as its documentation and support. Like yourself, I spend a lot of time on the phone supporting our products. Don't get me wrong, I love helping people and nothing is more satifing then fixing ones problems. They call up all discouraged and when we hang up, they are once again ready to tackle the world! I almost did not respond to your message because I don't want people to get the wrong idea about me. But so much of what you said hit home with Computer Aids I had to say something. I am very excited about GW Micro. Dan Weirich and myself are sad about the closing of Computer Aids but to tell you the truth, things could not be better now. I now have the final say in what should or should not be included in our products. I have many ideas but it is going to take time. Good luck in the future!
