Theoretically deep-cycle batteries are better.  And they cost
more.  They are supposed to last longer & store more charge, as
well.

When we first tried them out at the Australian Quadriplegic
Association, the costs seemed high, and the "gains" not seem
worth the extra expense & trouble.

Not sure what has happened in the last five years though.  Any
experiences from others?

        My deep cycle marine batteries last about one year and
need recharging every other day on the average.  This is with
10-12 hours of normal use per day.
