Index Number: 9073 Hi Roy, It was a thrill to hear from you. So far I have got a real kick out of the reply's I have received from the people on this echo. You'll have to be patient with me on the net since I stumbled on to it accidently and no one will help me locally to figure things out referring to how to post and reply and for some reason I can't seem to Email anything right now. Bill is helping me out on this I hope. I think he still gets my mail but haven't heard from my last mail to him. I would appreciate the name being added to the ALDA newsletter, and the a copy of the Rehabilitation Act you mentioned. And any other list or information you can supply me. You see I have never asked or consulted anyone about my hearing and what is available to me, financially,educational or products. I have lived like a shutin since this has happened and it's time for me to jump back into the world and I am with both feet.(size 10 grin). I know there is nothing I can't do with alittle help and under- standing. I may be saying what and huh alot but by God I'm going to make it. You know one thing that has always puzzled me is to what extremes a person will go to to comunicate with a child--goo goos, and baby talk and get in there faces until they are sure the child understands them but when it comes to HI people who are desperately trying to make it in the world, it's blow off man I haven't got time. Or if you ask someone to repeat something they just look at you and then will stare off into never land like they didn't hear you ask them to repeat something. Sometimes I just want to say "oh, excuse me I thought you heard me" and then scream at the top of my lungs what I had just said to them. Well Roy that's about enough right now, so be good and keep me posted on things.
