Index Number: 9099 Bill Gorman recently asked if anyone knew of a signing instructor of small boat navigation, and indicated that he knew of a couple that were in need of finding such a person. The request is a little unclear, but I presume they mean they are looking for a Coast Guard certified instructor in either freshwater or saltwater boating (which would include navigation techniques). Well, I don't know of anyone who is a signing instructor, but I would think all they needed to do was attend a Coast Guard approved course in the local area and hire an interpreter to interpret for them while in class. Certainly that would be cheaper than traveling to Lord only knows where to meet with a signing instructor. For the location and dates of Coast Guard boating courses in their area, pick up the telephone book and contact the Arizona Department of Conservation (they will know, or will be able to put you in touch with someone who will know)....
