I was in Bridgewater participating on an Affirmative Action panel, and
I started talking w a HI lady. Anyway, right after we started we found
we couldn't communicate very well. Since I can't sign, I thought we were
outa luck. :-( She was *VERY* cute!

But she surprised me! She grabbed a piece of scratch paper and
started writing, then I wrote my response! That worked great! And
then when someone came up we just handed them the paper and they
were right up w our conversation!

I can see some problems w this already! You have to be pretty good at hand
writing, you have to have something to write on (ie a table and paper),
and it's slow; but it sure worked well w us, so I wonder if anyone else could
use it!

Actually, for all I know, this is already well known! If so, I'm displaying
my ignorance! (No problem, I do it all the time! :-)
I also discovered a good pick-up line for a HI lady, instead of, "Gimme your
number, I'll call!", use, "Gimme your adress, I'll write!".

So if any of you HI ladies feel like it, my email address is below!
