Index Number: 9200 Hi Chip, Yes, I think both of our points regarding the use of Parking Placards are valid. And I would agree, those who do not really need them, shouldn't have them, those that feel no need to use them, should be allowed to not to use them and those of us who do need them should be allowed, whether we are ambulatory or wheelchair users. Being that all of my problems are not immediately visible (except for my blindness, when my cane pops out) I think we need to be reminded that not all "placard users" who are ambulatory "do not need them." In your case, you feel that you don't need to use restricted parking because you are ambulatory and apparently comfortable getting across parking lots. In my case, being blind and hearing impaired to where I cannot hear what is going on around me, the placard is quite useful and I will not let people make me feel guilty about using it. So, you will understand, when I take exception if someonme says or infers that blind people should not have them. Keepin' the faith! .
