Index Number: 9193 Hi... I'd like to introduce myself...I'm a handicapped person who has Multiple Sclerorsis. It caused me some problems with fine motor control in my hands...this created difficulties typing, esp. when I wanted to use shifted keys. I think I share this kind of problem with you and anyone else who has to type one-handed! Also, I have a visual field loss of 30%...this caused me to OCCASIONALLY LEAVE THE CAPS LOCK ON! Finally, I got disgusted enough to write a couple of simple programs that have helped a lot. One is SHIFT.COM which "remembers" that a shift key (Shift, Ctrl, or Alt) has been pressed until the next keypress. The other is SHOWCAP.COM which simply makes the normal line cursor a block when caps lock is on. Both are TSRs and work within most other programs like word processors, etc. If you think either of these would be helpful, send me an empty disktte (5 1/4, DSDD, [360K]) along with a SASE disk mailer and I'll send copies along. Later, Gene... (Note from Bill McGarry: Anyone interested in these or similar programs -- I carry them on my BBS. 1-203-337-1607. I have sent some of these to the SIMTEL20 archives as well.) these are also availb -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!137!10.0!Gene.Zeak Internet: Gene.Zeak@p0.f10.n137.z1.fidonet.org
