Index Number: 9055 We're going to be pulishing an issue of "The Dovetale" (a publication of ARC/Boulder County) which focuses on issues relating to assistive technology for persons with disabilities, including both technical aspects and the politics of access. Does anyone out there have ideas or unique approaches to this subject? Or perhaps you've seen some interesting articles on technology recently that you could give me pointers to? Hi Ed,
If you decide to cover access to computer equipment by the visually
impaired, I hope you will cover computer types other than IBM PC's and
compatables. I mean the Commodore Amiga and the Apple Macintoshe in
particular since they are gaining steadily in market place percentage,
need no additional special hardware for the visually impaired, and were
thought until recently to be unusable because of the unusual nature of
