BH> I'd like to add that I'm am a Member of the Board of
BH> Directors for the Independent Living Resourse Centre here in
BH> Kingston ontario, Canada. My disability is CP

Thank heavens! I was wondering if North America allowed disabled
people to become a member of the Board of Directors.

A few times in the past I mentioned some of the troubles I had in
helping DP's (Disabled People) to move beyond their self-centred
Victim-Mentalities. I'm noe expecting nor demanding that you
personally reply to this message. But perhaps other people
could try to look at this overall problem.

I assume that with CP, you also have a speech problem - very
important in Board meetings. Being a hemiplegic myself, I have
great problems at all face-to-face meetings.

If other people would like to join in this "thread", please do.
It would be good if we could share some of our difficulties in
going beyond just being self-centered, especially when we are
officially representing other disabled people.
