i need information on speech synthesizers! i have a mute xt clone. my
9 year old loves it, but is tired of reading blink link to me. i went
to the nfb convention hoping to clear up my techno questions only to
walk away more confused. through blink link, however, i have at my
disposal, a great way of getting techno information. if you use use or
sell or know anything about speech hardware/software, i would indebted
to you if you could tell me about it. i want something that sounds good
with word perfect and lotus 123i've been using artics business vision at
my office and i've seen vert, but i know that there is other stuff out
therewhich may suit my purposes and my wallet. i do have a bit of a
memory problem wo would prefer something that would sit in extended
memory. (good thing i'm not too pickey) any way if you can help me,
and i hope you will, let me know here or at home:

 > I NEED INFORMATION ON SPEECH SYNTHESIZERS!

The Sounding Board through GW Micro is my favorite! Get Vocal-Eyes
software through them and you can't lose! I was a die hard braille
user. Now I'm a born agin' speech euser! Seriously, I used to use
Vert and a couple of other synthesizers. Now all that's out the door!
Hang out in here awhile. You're bound to hear more from Doug Geoffray,
 part of GW Micro.

Many people that I talk to like Flipper for it's simplicity. I use
it and it didn't take me long to get used to it. However, I think
if you could get demos from several speech software vendors, yyou
could take your time and peruse them at your leisure.

I'd be interested to know what word processor you use? Flipper
seems to be "made" for Word Perfect, but will work with others like
pcwrite.
