Thank you for sharing that. Please know that you are not alone in
having to make that sort of decision. I was hit rather suddenly and
hard by Multiple Sclerosis 4 years ago...vision, speech, balance,
hearing, swallowing, etc. About 2 years ago I noticed that my feet
began to get numb while standing. Over time, the numbness spread
until now, the longer I stand, the more it spreads until it reaches my
hips and makes standing darn near impossible.

I went to a vascular specialist and had a number of tests, the result
of which was that I have a fairley major blockage of the descending
artery from my heart. Turns out that the only effective treatment
would be surgery. Now, with the MS snd all, I'm not your ideal
surgical candidate. So...after much thinking and such, I decided to
not have the surgery and just accept that this condition is probably
gonna get worse. Heck, the MS is gonna cause more prblems anyway over
time....

All I can suggest is to fill your days with what you CAN do, whether it
be job related, a hobby, or whatever. As that old prayer goes, "lord,
give me the strength to change those things I can, the grace to accept
those things I cannot change, and the wisdom to know the difference."

Later, Gene...
