HELP!

I am running Artic version 2.10 and have to use Cross Talk Mark IV in a
special application. There is a conflict in mapping and both programs
use the same spot. Therefore, I am unable to do any printing from
CrossTalk, including a Screen Print. So far, Artic Tech Support has
absolutely no idea as to what I am doing wrong or what I should do. The
guy I've been talking with keeps thinking that CrossTalk is a TSR and
wants me to load it before I load the speech. He also keeps asking
about how things work when I run Procomm with Cross Talk. Obviously, we
have a case here of a tech support person not knowing his stuff.

Before you say, well is CrossTalk working on the problem, the answer is
"YES". Two weeks ago they said they would see if they could find a
solution and still nothing.

CrossTalk supports a VT220 emulation which I must use for this
application. If anyone knows of a solution ork another program for me
to try, I'm all ears.

This is a very frustrating situation and I'm beginning to wonder if
there is a solution.

Thanks for listening.....

Steve,

Have you tried having sonix use a different port? Try the command line
switches availabel to you and have sonix use something like lpt3. If
that does not work, have it use a comm port that isn't being used for
anything. Don't know if that will solve the problem, but it is worth a
shot...

Regards,
Rick

Hi Steve; Yes there is another solution, use kermit version 3.30.
This program alothough it really has much more built in too it then you
will ever need does a very nice vt102 and vt320 emulation.
the vt320 emulation is completely backward compatible with vt220
emulation, and it speaks quite nicely which is more then you can say for
crosstalks.
Kermit 3.30 is available from compuserve and probably next week will be
available from VIBUG.
I have to get back to work so I can upload it.
Take care.

Well it seems that Artic and CrossTalk use a common interupt and at
this point, there doesn't appear that there is any way around it.
One option I do have is to capture everything that goes to the
screen. Then I have to pull it into WordPerfect and do editing to
save what I really need. Maybe the new version 3.0 of Artic will do
things differently.

You are right, Dale is much better and knows the product well.
