LC> getting back to you sooner. Thanks also for explaining the
LC> fact that the bulletin board is used by people outside of
LC> Pittsburgh. I will keep that in mind in the future.

Lauri,
Ok, you got to the right area for finding out about speech
programs, cause I believe almost every one of them has somebody here who
has experience with it.
Ok gang...Lauri is looking for a speech program to make available
on a computer at the University of Pittsburgh's library. We're talking
about something that will be used by many visually disabled students, a
wide range of computer skills represented, so give us your thoughts on
what you think would be appropriate...
                                                        Willie

Ok Willie, here I come with jaws again. I understand a study was
made by the American Foundation for the Blind, and they reported
that jaws was the easiest speech program to learn. Now that I have
looked at most of the docs for vocal eyes, I will at this time have
to agree that I think that jaws would be easier to learn than vocal
eyes. Now as far as which one is better in the long run, at this
time, I am not able to say. I do think that jaws would be easier
to learn, and since many different students would be using, and
learning it, I would have to go with jaws.

               Walter
