I am looking for keyboard macro software to help me cut down on
keystrokes some. I downloaded a copy of Newkey 5.3 (I think it's
5.3, it's 5. something, anyhow) which I've been testing for a week
or two. It is easy to use and I like it, but as I run other
applications I am discovering more and more conflicts. Today I
tried to use Basic and found that Newkey hung the system. I had to
reboot without it in my AUTOEXEC file. The word processor I use is
PC Write and the Newkey manual mentions one incompatibility and
tells you a parameter to set to resolve the problem. That works
fine but I am discovering other conflicts including alterations in
the functions of some keys that are not set up to do anything in
Newkey.
Is anybody out there using Newkey successfully or have you run into
the same sort of problems? If you've had similar problems were you
able to resolve them?
Is anyone using other keyboard macro programs successfully? If so,
which?
I'd appreciate anybody's input on this.
