Hi Al, one of the tricks I use that really helps get into the wet suit
is I wear panty hose under it. I have a Farmer John and a full jacket
over it, and the panty hose help slide the pants up really easily. It
also makes it really easy to remove once wet. I got this idea from a guy
in my dive club, he would wear them and he was nondisabled. I also use a
plastic drop cloth and a air mattress on the ground infront of my chair
when they pull me to the ground. Alot the the places I go diving (mostly
quarries) are very rocky and pebbley and not to comfortable to bounce
your butt on. The extra padding really helps. For me one of the things I
would miss alot would be not able to handle diving again. I'm so happy
to be in the water. Like most of the other disabled divers I do better
in water than on land. I can cover longer distances and faster in the
water than I can on land, and the freedom of motion is fantastic.
I hope you continue to have fun and work with divers. The season
here in Ohio is readily comming to an end. Unless you have a dry suit.
By the way DUI dry suit manufacturor is offering a discount to disAbled
divers on seconds that have be reconditioned and refurbished dry suits.
They offer on some suits over 50% off. So if you know anyone intrested
in a dry suit let them know and have them contact their local dive shop
to take advantage of it. Well I better get on with all the messages in
the base, took up all my hard disk space and can't use my off line
reader rright now so have to do everything on-line, till later...
                                Pandora
