Index Number: 10553 [This is from the Silent Talk Conference] Re: Vixen and Guide Dog School Our good friend Vixen is now at Guide Dog School in San Rafael. She was nervous and sad about leaving her friends, but once she got settled in she seems to be doing okay. Vixen has her own room for the time being. It is right down the hall from the nurses office, and across the hall from a pay phone. She is also near the laundry room, gym, and vending machines! For the first few days she will be learning dog commands and getting oriented to the school. On Wednesday, she will meet her dog! Visiting hours are on Sundays from 1PM to 4PM. I will be going down there every Sunday to see her. I know she would like to have lots of visitors! If you would like to come along, or go on your own, leave me mail or call me at 488-9651. I have a map and directions to the campus which I can give you. If you would like me to take her anything like a card, etc., we can work something out and I will deliver it to her. The mailing address is P.O. Box 1200, San Rafael, CA 94915, but I am not sure if this is for student mail or not. The student dorm phone number is 415-499-9824. I would guess it is best to call in the evenings or weekends. Vixen's graduation date is October 13th at 1:30 PM. I know she would be excited to have as many people there to cheer her on as can make it. Unfortunately since I will be bringing her and her dog back to Sacramento, I will only have room to take one person down there. But maybe some others can form car pools down there for her graduation. I know she would be excited to have a large cheering section. I will relay all messages to her this Sunday. Please say a prayer for her - that her asthma and respritory problems stay under control and do not force her to come home early. Thank you! -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!203!11!Kris.Hollinger Internet: Kris.Hollinger@f11.n203.z1.fidonet.org
