     The recorders from APH (American Printing House) will do this.  Thy go
for $125 and $225.  The $225 machine is the more rugged, but the $125
machine has built-in speech compression.  Both have reasonably good sound,
can play standard NLS cassettes, and are GE models.  May be a couple
dollars off in price, haven't checked in a while, but should be close.
