The Kansas Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired held its
70th annual convention in Topeka, Kansas this last weekend. Paul
Edwards, First Vice President of the American Council of the Blind
was the Keynote speaker. Maureen West, Administrative Assistant to
Sen. Robert Dole also spoke.
Not planned, but exciting...Bob Hope who was in town for a show
stayed at the hotel where the convention was being held. He stopped
in and and greeted the delegates and told a few jokes. Even offered
25 tickets for the show.
It was a fun and interesting weekend.
