I think it is called simply QM or something like WW> that. Is anybody out there using this program to load their WW> speech into extended memory?? Willie, I use QEMM-386 from Quarterdeck Systems. It does not move speech programs, and other TSR's into "extended memory" per sae. It moves them into memory between 640K and one meg, which is normally used by the system. Extended memroy starts above one megabyte I believe. I have used QEMM to move both provox and artic businessvision into high memroy. It however would not move Artic's VEST program into high memory. In an earlier message, Eric Bohlman pointed out that it may not be possible to move JAWS to high memory to high memory because of its size, over 100K. PROVOX is only 28K and Artic BV about 50K. I did try it once with JAWS, and the program did not successfully move JAWS. In addition to moving TSR programs to high memroy, QEMM also converts any extended memory to expanded memory. However, a program must be specifically written to use extended or expanded memory directly itself. David Andrews ...
