Well, I finally got the Starlink info, and have signed up. I do not
have an id and password yet, but here's the scoop on pricing. I'll
report back what I think about it.
Acount setup fee: $35 credit card; $50 checkfree debit
Hourly rates: $14 peak; off peak $1.50 with an hourly average
transfer of 200k limit plus $.01 per 1k transferred beyond limit.
They also have a $4 per hour option with no character transfer
charges. I signed up for the cheaper plan at least initially. There
is also a $10 per month maintenance charge *not* applied to usage.
All of the documentation including outdial lists(over 220 cities
currently) is available for downloading from there BBS which is free
except for the hourly charges stated above. They tell everybody to
get the docs that way! Howabout that!
