[This is from the Blink Talk Conference]

I have just recently found out there is a problem loading Vocal-Eyes
in extended memory if you have the IBM model 30/286. Actually the
problem lies with the HIMEM.SYS device drivers supplied with Vocal-Eyes.
This device driver was created by Microsoft. I talked to them and they
admitted to a problem with the older versions and the model 30. They
said this problem has been fixed with the latest version of HIMEM.SYS.

They have sent me the latest version and sure enough, it works great.
Microsoft also said the older HIMEM.SYS had problems with a few other
machines. Therefore, if you have problems loading the HIMEM.SYS please
let either myself or Microsoft know. Either of us would be glad to send
the latest version. I am sure this will fix any problems you might be
having.

Normally this is not a problem. Since Vocal-Eyes' release back in March,
I have just recently heard about the problem and only on the IBM Model
30/286.

Again, feel free to let me know if you are having problems.

Regards,
  Doug
