Also, Windows is a "window," environment and OS/2 is one of these type. Screen Reader from IBM works with OS/2, not available at this time, but soon, and its power is truely amazing. Please lets not have a brand war--to each their own. Anybody know if the Atari 520's have a voice program, or have any of you tried the speech programs on the Atari with the IBM bridge boards, or for that matter anybody tried one on the Amiga with the bridge board? It should prove interesting to see if using an Amiga, and a bridge board, if you could pipe the voice output to the voice chips in the amiga, thusly making the machine a single unit running IBM software (80xxx software), but still making 68xxx programs available as well. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!109!143.0!Al.Hoffman Internet: Al.Hoffman@p0.f143.n109.z1.fidonet.org

Index Number: 11215 [This is from the Blink Talk Conference] I wasn't trying to start a brand war of any type. I was only saying that the guys who wrote the software for the mac did better with a windows and mouse type environment than the guys on the IBM. That is to be expected since the IBM is still more of a text based machine. I think it would be great if there was some speech software that we could use with windows 3.0 To your knowledge, Is there any speech software available on the amiga? Everyone is entitled to my opinion -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!203!999!Doug.Langley Internet: Doug.Langley@f999.n203.z1.fidonet.org
