Hi,

Oh yeah, in case noone noticed, Vixen is back and in action at the
home front!

My new guide puppy and I are doing really well and I just loves him
so much!

Everyone at the school kept making sure I had batteries for my
hearing aids and nine volters for my ALD heheheh!.

Hey, guys, I made it heheh! (Gosh am I worn out though!!!)

Missed ya' all!

(Know what was neat, they actually had amplified hearing aid
compatible telephones at the school! Although, I brought one of my
handy dandy portables just in case!!!)

It is great to be back!

Keepin' the faith!

Hi Jack,

Okay, I will tell you a little bit about my new friend. As you may
know, his name is "Toby" and he is a beautiful (everyone says so,
heheh) Golden Retriever (reddish) who weighs 77 pounds and stands
24 inches high. He is an absolute joy of intelligence, affection
and good plain old silliness when he is not working. Although, even
his non working behaviour is wonderful.

Yes, I truly believe that Toby would be capable of having some
"hearing Dog" cross training! I don't know if the Guide Dog school
has any negative feelings about such things (Don't know why they
should?) but I really think Toby is more tham smart enough to alert
to the door bell or knock and telephone rings! "I" don't know how
to train him to do it myself, but I am sure he could do it when I
see some of the really amazing things he does already.

Maybe I could even get him to do repairs on my hearing aids and
ALDS ???? (Nah, maybe that's just a little too much? Ya' think?)
Heheheh

Yeah, gee, I sure missed you guys while I was away from home. If I
had had a way to read the screen, I would have brought my TDD down
there with my and called the ROSE now and then to give you all a
hello now and then.

One thing about the school was neat! Some of their pay phones had
built in amplifiers and were hearing aid compatible! I brought some
portable stuff though too, just in case!

I hope that you all haven't been too naughty in my absence!!!
Because, hey, I don't want to miss the fun!

I hoep you have been doing well, while I was away!! It is great to
back with you all! Okay now, let's see, what can I say now that
will get me into trouble? Heheh!

Keepin' the faith!

Hi Anniewich!

Well, yes, "some" of doggie school was very enjoyable heheh! But,
it sure is good to be here with you all!

No, unfortunately, Toby is not cross trained as a "Hearing Dog" and
I wonder if he could be. ( I am not aware of any polivcy of "Guide
Dogs" that would prohibit such further training.) I might just look
around and see if there is anyone in my area who does such
training.

That would sure be neat for those times when the phone rings or the
door knocks and I am in the other room or so he could just "be my
ears" for those times when I just want to take my aids and ALD's
off and not be "bionic!"

What? What? You mean you guys were up and out and being wild in my
absence? Hey, let's see some more of that now that Vixen is home!
Heheh!

Keepin' the faith!
