Hi SCott,

Well to answer your first question. There is no charge nor any fees
to attend the Guide Dogs for The Blind in San Rafael. They will pay
for your transportaion, your meals and board are free and there is
no charge for the dog.

The quickest way to answer your question about what they teach at
dog school, is to answer by saying that you are taught how to
travel safely and efficiently using a dog guide and you are taught
the proper way to care for your dog.

It is intensive, hard work, very tiring and even frustrating at
times. It also fun, exhilarating, and a wonderful experience!

If you think a dog is the way for you to go, I wouldd suggest you
continue to read here about how those of us using dogs feel and
what we have to say and that you check with some dog schools.

I think it is one if the greatest things I have done in a long long
time!

Keepin' the faith!

. Vixen
