The idea is to get the light into their eyes so the optic nerve can devlop normally. They wore glasses for several months, and when they were about one, they had epikeratophakia operations on both eyes. This involves grinding a donor cornea like a lens and grafting it onto the cornea. Sort of a living contact lens. They still need glasses, but not the heavy cataract lenses. Kiyoshi tried to take apart a CB radio the other day...with a screwdriver, something he learned by watching. He is very clever. Thank you for your kind response and your interest in my situation.
