Index Number: 11826 [This is from the Silent Talk Conference] Wayne, it is called the Galludet Academy. I know 2 kids form the Hebrew Institute for the Deaf and Exceptional Child here in Brooklyn that went there. In effect it is a very progressive idea where high school kids go to college classes while in their senior year of high school. Obviously this is a very special EXPENSIVE school. But the elite deaf teenager with a bit more enlightenment seems to be able to go there. In 1987 when I helped send one kid there, there were only 78 students and it was an INTERNATIONAL student body. High standards for admission. And an excellent idea. -- Uucp: ..!{decvax,oliveb}!bunker!hcap!hnews!107!608!Tzipporah.Benavraham Internet: Tzipporah.Benavraham@f608.n107.z1.fidonet.org
