I am about to order a new electric wheelchair. I've had an E&J Premier
3-P and hated the slipping belts. Next I had the Explorer. I like
the power the direct drive offers but have burned out the chair three
times. These problems are probably due to my weight. I'm 6'3" and
weigh about 220. I've read the hype over the Permobile and called the
company for a brocure.

Does anyone own a Permoble and is willing to discuss the chair with me.
Its best to get first hand oppions on such matters, wouldn't you agree?

I use an E @ J Marathon 88 and was wondering if anyone has
experience with the chevrolet or GMC Safari mini-vans could tell me
if there is enough room to maneuver an electric chair in and out?

Hi Chris,
Pending on you overall height will tell how well a chevrolet or GMC
mini-van would suit your needs. I'm 6'3", sitting around 5'2". Even
in my Ford Econoline 150 with the floor lowered and one foot raised
roof, I can see out. There's nothing worse than buying a vehicle,
having it adapted to your needs, pay a lot for it, then find out it is
only good for transportation. I enjoy a ride in an excessable bus than
my $31,000 van! Be causious, it's a buyer beware world...
