Since MRI and other imaging techniques were mentioned in several recent
notes, I thought you might want to know that the most recent issue of
Machine Design (Nov. 8, 1990, Vol.62 #23) has a feature article on
"Nondestructive Testing for Humans", technically describing MRI,
ultrasound, and SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) or
nuclear scanning. The techniques are described, compared, and recent
improvements are mentioned. The technical language is not heavy at all.
