[misc.handicap] Speech amplifying system

  As a result of several problems converging on my vocal area, I am 
unable to speak very loudly.  Does anyone have a recommendation for a 
system (a mike, amplifier and speaker, I suppose) that a) would work 
well and b) is reasonably portable?

      Hi Tom, Luminaud inc makes a few speech assistance devices one is 
the Cooper-Rand No Hands Model A  or B through C models, they are a mike 
setup that is either an around the forehead band or one that attaches to 
eyeglasses or and over the head band. They are portable, they can be 
operated with either a pressure switch or a bump switch. To get more
