Better yet..here are a cou0ple of addresses:
Dr. Nicholas A. Ashford, PhD, J.D.,
M.I.T.,

and
Claudia S. Miller, M.D., M.S.,
University of Texas,
Houston, TX 77225

There are several campuses of the University of texas, so Ms Miller may
not be at the Health Science Centre in houston, but at one of the other
campuses in another texan city.
The report costs about 20.00 U.S.
Why don't you try to get an institution to order it and have a look at
it. Any doctor should be interested to read this report if they are
dealing with difficult chronic illness and/or poorly explained chronic
illness and disability.

If your friend is a physician she may be able to get a copy of the health
and welfare workshop proceedings on this subject by calling Dr. John
davies, LCDC, Ottawa, (613) 957 0318. His address is
Dr. John Davies, Chronic Disease Epidemiology, LCDC, Health and Welfare,
Tunney's Pasture, Ottawa, Canada, K1A 0L2. He has promised to send a
copy of their special issue of a regularly published newsletter on
epidemiology which will cover this topic.
If you decide to look into this subject further, be very careful to
acvoid doctors who say this problme is "allergy" and that all the varous
sensitivities people experience are immune-system mediated. They are
not, and claims by some doctors that they are have produced a strong
backlash in the medical community, particularly by one Abba Terr, an
american doctor whose extreme-to-the-point-of-ridiculous backlash has
turned a lot of people off the whole issue.
There are tests used in Britain that used to be approved in the U.S.
which have been questioned on the basis of faulty theory used to explain
them. In fact the tests are helpful, even though the theory explaining
them is highly suspect.
