A group of blind guys around here have decided that it is time time for
the BLIND CABLE NETWORK. I am looking for your suggestions for
programing and any other comments you might care to make regarding this
project. So if you have a good idea for a program now is the time. tom

Are you getting the cart before the horse? Before you get programs in mind, don't you need to figure out how you are going to set up such a monster?

The idea sounds good, but how would you implement it.

               Walter

HMMMMM! The Blind Cable Network.
How about a soap titled "The Edge of Blinkdom"

And instead of car racing on Saturday, you could have
White Cane relays and Guide Dog competition.

HUH?

DVS until the end....

TG> very good keep them coming. We have a soap called "dark Journey" tom G

How about the edge of darkness. The blind and the restless. Jake
and the blindman. Blinks are funny. Unsolved blindness.

Oh, well, I guess that will have to do for now.

DL> I know that the Publick brodcasting network around the san
DL> Fransisco area has audio discriptions. They are using that
DL> separate audio chanel so you do need the sterio TB..

I live in the SF Bay area, and have, therefore, heard about the audio
descriptions on the stereo channel, but I have yet to hear a program
using them. I believe, though, that if you do not have a stereo TV, you
_can_ receive the naration if you have a stereo VCR.

We got a stereo VCR not that long ago, so I will keep a look out for
programs with the audio descriptuion broadcasts and check this out. (My
TV is not stereo, so it should be a 'fair' test. Will let yous know what
I find.

I havn't heard of very many either. To my knowledge, there are very few
audio discriptions. It really wouldn't be that hard to do either. In Los
Angelous, they have a lot of there programs translated in to spanish.
