We have just started a program here in Austin, the goal of which is to provide
readers and/or drivers for Blind folks. Basically, the program will work like
this:
Persons wishing to work will contact Blind Services INC., a local non-profit
organization providing services to blinks, and will be interviewed.
If this goes ok, their name/number/etc will be added to a database.
Blinks can then call in or access this DB via this BBS, and get this
information. To get it on-line you have to know a password, so we don't just
have anyone and everyone that can get these people's numbers.
Anyway, I wonder if anyone out there has had experience providing this sort of
service. I am brand new at it so will probably be making some mistakes as
I/we go along.
