Walter, I think I would agree with you about not liking the
combination you mentioned. I've heard the Votalker and it's not
great! What was it about the Enhanced Talk program you didn't
like. I don't use it so I won't argue. Just curious, and I
realize it is your opinion and will take it as that rather than
a criticism from all.
Linda

My problems with the VOS talking program concerned mainly how it would
get tangled up with Word Perfect. Speech software has come a long way
since the enhansed PCtalking program came out thank goodness. With vos
if you were doing a file transfer it was easy to get it messed up just
by trying to turn on and off the voice. Today's programs make life
much easier, faster, and much more troublefree.

I wish I'd been able to be more envolved with WRBH but at that
time it was a prety closed sort of group. WRBH in my mind was
really what a Radio Reading Service should be and in fact I'd
like to see more Radio Reading Services like that in other
cities. I doubt the FCC would ever doit or that it would ever
be a reality but I think everymajor city should have one of the
public access frequencies available for Radio Reading Services.
With the A.M. band in such trouble it might hapen some day with
A.M. but I doubt it. It was really exciting the first day WRBH
came on the air a dream that had takenyears to {bring to
reality.l zVWalter Siren I believe was very much envolved with
the committee that built the station. WRBH is one of its kind.

WRBH was a station like no other. I wish I'd ben able to be envolved
with the construction, emplimentation, organizational structure, and so
fourth but at the time they were a prety closed group. Never the less
the day WRBH finally did come on the air was exciting for New Orlean's
blind and Louisiana's blind. I know this is a dream but it seems that
one public access frequency down inthe lower numbers of the F.Ml. dile
such as (88.5) should be alocated to radio reading services. I'm not
sure how many cities would be able to get up the ogranizations to make
them work but it's anidea. With A.M. loosing ground maybe something
like that could come down the A.M. side.
