Nadine, I hope they at least send you an attendant soon. It is AWEFUL they
sent you home from surgery with no homecare alone. I think you have to
call the social worker and tell them you have to have visiting nurse send
someone in until you can learn to cope. Or maybe call your religious
organization to help you for a while with the sisterhood volunteers. I
know my synogogue always helps me. My heart reaches out to you across the
bitstream.
Also for pain, (this is going to sound silly but it is true) eating daisy
petals (!) helps. Daisies contain salicylate... the bare ingredient used
in making aspirin! And even though eating daisy petals is bitter... I
place them in an ordinary fresh salad and notice a natural pain killer.
You have to wash them carefully though since they spray flowers alot...
leaving them under flowing tap water for a couple of minutes in a strainer
is good enough.
Hope your hand is better and you are typing at us again soon. You have us
