Index Number: 12625 A legally-blind friend has just bought a Poquet computer (a 2-lb. palmtop), and is looking for software which runs on an XT with CGA to provide runtime magnification of text on the screen. He would like to have what he types shown in large print when he types it, and have the ability to scroll around the screen to read it in large print. We found one program, LP-DOS (Large-Print for DOS) which does this, but it works only for EGA. (Actually, it says that it will work with WordPerfect and 1-2-3 under CGA, but he does not need either of those and it does not work with the software which comes with the machine -- address book, scheduler, etc.) Any pointers are appreciated, and I will summarize to the net. [Note from Bill McGarry: I just posted a list of various text magnifiers that I have available here on the Handicap News BBS. As far as I know, most of these will work with CGA but I will check more thoroughly. I know that the BPOP utilites are supposed to work with CGA.] -- ______________________________________________________________________ Alan Hamilton hamilton@tdw235.ed.ray.com
