track recorder. the place locally wants "me" to supply the parts! i can't
believe that so if anyone knows of a place i can just send these machines and
they'll take care of them for me, it would be greatly appreciated... dan &

I don't remember the place but there is some where in the mid west
that will repair them for you. call edward l. potter in goldsborough
north carolina and ask him. he runs a magazine called playback which
is for the audio file.

SG> hi dan I am having a problem with my a p h four track machine. I sent a
SG> letter to a p h and they told me to send the machine to a guy named jack
SG> decker. he is supose to be the vice president of a p h. I have not sent
SG> it yet because I think the machine was defectove wjem O bpigjt [well the
SG> battery was bad and I never used it so a year later when I first went to
SG> use the rechargeable battery, I found that it would not hold a charge.
Well, Steve, your problem with your rechargeable battery is not a
defective one, it is from not using it. If you let a rechargeable
battery sit up for a long period of time like a year, it will not
take a charge any more. They have to be used to stay in shape.
You might try charging it up, and turning your recorder on and
letting it run until it won't run anymore. Don't forget to unplug
it when it is running. Leave it on for at least 24 hours, and then
recharge it again, and run it down again. Maybe after this, it
will take a charge if you are lucky.
Btw you can buy a new battery for it.

Dan, I very much empathize with you on your handi-cassette. My first
one grew legs and I had to buy a 2nd one, and fortunately, it has been
working well. My new one even hit the floor on one occassion, but I
guess I was fortunate to have a rug on the floor it fell on. Even so,
I try not to use it too much.
Bill.
